Refurbishment of an industrial space.
Architect: Sofia Romeo Gurrea-Nozaleda.
A new polished concrete flooring creates a regular surface that allows the light to reflect inside as only one of the façades of this industrial facility is open to natural light.
Trying to emphasize the space grid structure, new modules appear to organize it trying to respect the different symmmetric axes and perspectives as they hide inside different facilities.
These new white neat modules help to start a dialogue with the old concrete walls and structure, constantly creating texture and apparence changes in between the space core and its perimeter. This strategy somehow allows the space to be used and felt differently and more comfortably without losing its industrial identity.
